About the Artwork

"Snowy Marsh" was inspired by a walk beside the Bow River in Calgary, Canada. It was a sunny afternoon in late winter, when the sun starts to warm up a little more and the snow looks particularly brilliant.

I certainly use my artists license to add more color to the scene, more in accordance with my memories of the day.

Original oil painting, 24x24 inches on gallery wrapped deep canvas, ready to hang without the need for a frame. It has been varnished, the sides painted and it comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Yanina Eberhard

Calgary, Alberta

My paintings start with a pull of attraction to an everyday object or landscape because of the light, or even my feelings that day. To achieve my painting language, I use oil paints in a very empirical way producing work that is one of a kind.

"“The intention with my paintings is to make you “feel” as if you were there, to be aware of the
breeze or the warmth of the sun”."
